As you must have noticed, iPhone is smart enough to automatically disable sleep mode, whenever you are performing activities like watching a movie or a music video.

However, for most other activities the default auto-lock setting on iPhone is one minute, which is the reason for your iPhone automatically turning OFF.

1. Stop iPhone Screen From Turning Off Automatically

Follow the steps below to stop iPhone screen from turning OFF Automatically, so that you can keep using your device without any interruption.

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.

2. On the Settings screen, scroll down and tap on Display & Brightness.

3. On Display & Brightness screen, tap on Auto-Lock.

4. On the next screen, select the Never option.

This will totally prevent iPhone screen from turning off automatically.

Note: Keeping the Auto-Lock Setting to 'Never' can make your iPhone prone to the possibility of unauthorized use, in case you happen to leave your phone unattended.

2. Increase iPhone Auto Lock Period

Instead of completely turning off the Auto-Lock feature, you can try to increase the duration before which iPhone screen automatically turns Off.

1. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock > On the next screen, tap on 2 minutes.

After this you will find your iPhone going into sleep mode after 2 minutes of inactivity.

If this is not enough, you can increase the Auto-Lock period to 3, 4 or 5 minutes.
